Easily Create Flows with Inbound FlowBuilder with Atom

In this article, we will tell you the step-by-step process of creating your flows in Inbound Flowbuilder.

Access to Flowbuilder

To access Flowbuilder, you must go to the Settings menu >> Bots and there click on Create a New Bot.

After that, you will complete the required fields and select the Flowbuilder option in bot type. Once completed, click on Create.

Once inside Flowbuilder, you can start configuring your bot. Here, if you have previously completed the steps of Create your company, according to the industry and use case you have selected, there will be a default template that will help you get started with the basics of your bot. Otherwise, you will find the following fundamental pieces:

  • Start: Here you can determine the channel to use: WhatsApp, Instagram, Web Plugin, or Facebook.

  • Evaluate Response: This component is used to validate the customer's response to the interaction with the Templates and Messages components. If you select this component in a Template or Message, which contains buttons, an execution branch will be created for each button in which you can create different actions.

IMPORTANT: It is important that each execution branch culminates with one of these two components: "End of flow" or "Assignment of conversation to a group" so that the conversation has an end or a continuity in, for example, a referral with an agent.

Considerations to take into account when making modifications to the bot

When you want to edit a bot that is already connected to a channel, the following message will appear where it is suggested that you duplicate it to make these modifications and avoid traffic loss.

This is of vital importance to do, since in this way, the current bot will not be disconnected and will continue to receive traffic, while you work on editing the new version of the flow without worrying about any errors occurring in the attention of your clients.

When duplicating it, it will suggest a version number to differentiate it from the original version, which you can modify at your discretion.

Once you make the adjustments to your bot, you will see on this screen that you will have the options to Save bot or Publish bot, as seen below:

If you click on Save bot, it will simply save the changes you have made to your bot. These changes will be saved in the duplicated bot.

In this way, the new version of the bot will be in draft state, and the original bot will continue connected to your channel receiving traffic without any interruption. On the other hand, if you click on Publish bot, you will see a window where the name you gave to the new version of the bot appears, in case you want to modify it, and you are also given the option to connect the new version directly to the channel, in case you want to replace the original bot. With this option you will save time, since you will not have to go to the Channels module to change the settings manually.
