In this article we will explain the benefits of flow simulation and how you can perform it for both campaign flows (Outbound) and conversational flows (Inbound).
Simulation in Atom is a key tool to test and optimize the behavior of your flows before implementation. Thanks to this functionality, it is possible to detect errors, improve user experience and ensure that the design meets its objectives without the need to perform live tests.
⚠️ IMPORTANT:
Flow simulation does not generate a real conversation or impact metrics within Atom.
Keep in mind that web simulation will not work if you are testing a native flow exclusive to WhatsApp.
🌟 Benefits of Simulation
Improves user experience: Allows you to adjust responses and timings to be accurate and appropriate, reducing potential customer frustrations.
Operational optimization: Minimizes costs and headaches by preventing errors. Ensures flows work correctly before official launch.
Greater control and analysis: Offers the ability to visualize flow behavior in different scenarios and export results for evaluation.
🤖 Conversational Flow Simulation (Bots)
To simulate a flow that will bring your AI Agent to life, follow these steps:
Go to the side menu and enter the BOTS section.
Select the bot you want to test.
Click on the three-dot menu (⋮) and choose Edit Flow.
Inside the Flowbuilder editor, press the Simulate Flow button (located in the bottom right).
A side window will open where you can view and operate the simulation.
Types of Bot Simulation:
Full flow simulation: Allows you to test the bot from the start node to evaluate the complete experience.
Simulation from a specific point: Very useful when you have added a new branch and only want to test that section without going through the entire start.
Additional Features (Web):
Quick restart: You can restart the process at any time.
Results Download: Export simulated data to a CSV file or copy it to your clipboard to document the test.
Attachment simulation: Allows you to validate that images, PDFs or videos are sent correctly.
Auto-complete Fields: Optimizes time by eliminating the need to manually complete each parameter.
📣 Campaign Flow Simulation
To simulate a proactive campaign flow, follow these steps:
Access the side menu and enter Campaigns > Flows.
Select the flow you want to test.
Click on the three-dot menu (⋮) and choose Simulate Flow.
You can also enter the flow directly and press the button located in the bottom right corner. From there, you will have the option to simulate it in both Web and WhatsApp versions.
Types of Campaign Simulation:
Web Simulation: Recreates the conversation on screen and shows the status logs of each component.
WhatsApp Simulation: Shows the events of each component and how their results would look in the real WhatsApp environment.
Additional Features:
No extra configuration: You don't need to have a real channel configured or linked to perform this simulation.
Restart and Export: Just like with bots, you can repeat the test and export the data for detailed analysis.
Test, adjust and launch with confidence! 🚀
The simulation tool is your best ally for guaranteeing perfect flows. Use it to validate each branch, correct details and provide flawless conversational experiences from day one. ✅
