General characteristics of templates in Atom
In this article you will learn what actions you can develop with the templates.
Templates have the following general characteristics:
Name
Selected Atom Category: Marketing or Utility, or Authentication.
Group they belong to
Status
Creation date
Activated/deactivated
Actions: within them you can see Duplicate, Deactivate and Edit.
Template states
The possible states of a template are:
Approved: Approved by Meta for use
Rejected: Rejected by Meta for use
Draft: Template saved with partial changes without being created.
The Draft option will be activated when you are editing the body of a template and need to, for example, resume it later. Simply click on the Back button, or any part of the screen, and you will see the following message, where you will be asked if you want to save the progress.
Placing a name on the draft is mandatory to be able to store it, otherwise, you can dismiss this option, by clicking on the exit button anyway.
On the other hand, if you resume the template from the draft state, you can then finalize it and create it as explained in the template creation article.
The actions that can be performed on the template, by clicking on the three buttons, are Duplicate, which will clone the template, Deactivate, or Edit, to make the modifications you need.
IMPORTANT: Templates created in the Marketing or Utility categories will be configured as "Utility" by default. Only if Meta considers that they should be Marketing, will they be changed to that category.
