How to activate and configure MM Lite in Atom step by step?

Introduction

Do you want to activate MM Lite so that your Marketing templates are sent in an optimized way and you don't know where to start?

In this guide you will see where to find the configuration, how to connect it with Facebook, and which options to activate per business so that it works in campaigns, individual templates, integrations, and API.

Audience / Prerequisites

  • Who performs it: Administrator (with access to the business's Facebook account).

  • Who will see the section: Administrators, Supervisors, and Superadmin.

  • Before starting (checklist): You must have at least one WhatsApp channel connected (each channel has a WABA and a Business Manager). You must have templates approved by Meta and that are of the Marketing category (MM Lite applies only to Marketing). You must be able to access the Business Manager view in Atom

Step-by-Step Configuration Guide

#### 1) Go to the Meta Portfolio view

  • Log in to Atom with an Administrator user.

  • Go to Settings > Platforms > Meta Portfolio.

  • Within this screen you will see:

  • Counters are displayed at the top (businesses, WABAs, channels).

  • You will have a search engine to search for the WABA you need.

  • You will visualize each WABA in a card with its corresponding channels.

  • Note: Business cards are created automatically when you connect a channel. If you already had channels, Atom runs a process to create those businesses from the existing ones.

If you do not see this view, validate with your account administrator that you have access to the corresponding module where the Business Manager is presented.

#### 2) Connect the business in Atom through Facebook

  • In the card of the business where you want to activate MM Lite, click on Connect with Facebook.

  • The Facebook window will open to complete the configuration.

  • At the end, Atom will show statuses per WABA within the business: Active: ready to use MM Lite. Pending verification Rejected: not supported.

If there are pending/rejected WABAs, the Connect with Facebook button will remain visible to retry only the affected ones.

MM Lite cannot be deactivated in WABAs that have already been Active.

#### 3) After the connection...

  • After completing the configuration, Meta takes about 10 minutes to complete internal processes.

  • During those 10 minutes: If you send a Marketing template, Atom will use the classic API to not stop your sends.

  • After that time: Atom automatically prioritizes MM Lite for all Marketing templates.

#### 4) Configure which modules use MM Lite (per business)

Once you see at least one Active WABA, a form is enabled below with toggles to decide in which modules the Marketing templates will be sent using MM Lite:

  • Campaigns and Flows

  • Individual templates

  • Campaigns by integrations

  • Templates API

How to do it:

  • In the toggles section, activate the modules where you want to use MM Lite.

  • Click on Save.

Important:

  • This configuration is per business (independent between business cards).

  • You can activate only some modules (for example, Campaigns yes; Integrations no).

  • This section is visible to the client after the business configuration.

#### 5) Final checklist

  • Statuses per WABA: confirm that the key WABAs are Active.

  • Search: use the search field by channel number if you need to locate a specific channel.

  • Test sending a Marketing template in one of the modules activated with MM Lite (after 10 minutes). If the sending goes through the classic API, verify: Have the 10 minutes passed since onboarding or since the approval of the template? Is the template Marketing and approved by Meta? Is the module activated in the toggles?

✅ Possible errors and how to solve them
