Facebook Channel Configuration: Step-by-Step Guide

How to set up a channel for Facebook from Atom?

  • Select the Configurations > Platform > Channels module

  • Click the "Create Channel" button located in the upper right.

  • On the channel selection screen, click "Facebook".

  • Click the "Continue" button.

  • On the provider selection screen, "Facebook" will be automatically marked, as it is its own provider.

  • Click the "Continue" button.

  • On the bot selection screen, click on the one that the ATOM team previously developed for your company.

  • Click the "Continue" button.

  • On the channel summary screen, if you wish, you can change the name and description of the channel you are adding.

  • Click the "Save" button.

  • Next, you will see confirmation that the channel has been added; however, it is not yet connected to Facebook. To connect the channel, click the "Connect" button.

  • The connection configuration screen with Messenger shows the necessary requirements that you must take into account to connect the channel.

  • Click the "Connect With Facebook" button.

  • Next, a window will open where you must log in to the Facebook account corresponding to your company that you want to connect.

  • Complete with the access credentials (email and password) associated with the account and click the "Login" button.

  • Select the page you want to use with Atom.

  • Click the "Next" button.

  • Next, you must grant all the permissions requested by Atom for the channel to function correctly.

  • Click the "Save" button.

  • Next, confirmation will appear that you have linked Atom to Facebook.

  • Click the "OK" button.

  • Select the Facebook page you want to connect to the channel.

  • Click the "Save" button.

  • Next, confirmation will appear that the channel was successfully connected.

  • Click the "Accept" button.

  • On the channels screen you will see that your Facebook channel is already connected and ready to receive traffic.
