How to enable 2FA in Atom for an administrator?
As an administrator, you can add this option to strengthen your account security. This article explains how.
This setting is only valid and optional for Administrator profiles.
To configure two-factor authentication for the Administrator profile, follow these steps:
Starting with your first login to Atom, you will see a screen prompting you to configure it, with the option to do this later, as you will see below:
At this point, you can choose to continue with the configuration or skip it to do it later from your Profile menu >> Manage my account.
Click the Configure button, and if we have not verified our email previously, we must click Verify, where an email will be sent to the email address associated with our account.
Once the account is verified, we proceed with the 2FA configuration. Click the Continue with Configuration button, which will force us to log in to Atom again:
Then we will see a QR code which we must scan with our Google Authenticator app to obtain the 6 digits to verify our login.
Scan the code with Google Authenticator, and then enter the 6 digits that appear in the app. Once entered correctly, the following confirmation message of successful 2FA configuration will appear.
What happens if I skipped the configuration on the first login and now I want to do it?
If you skipped the configuration in the first place, to resume it, you must go to your profile menu and Manage my Account.
In the Security options, you will see the 2-Step Verification option and you must click the Link option, in this way you will enter the step-by-step to configure it. Once the configuration is complete, you can see that it says "Active" and there is also the Unlink option, if you wish.
