Why do the names of the customers change?

Do you notice that your customers' names change suddenly in a strange way? Discover why this unusual behavior happens and how to fix it in seconds by disabling your browser's automatic translation. 🚀

❓ Why are my customers' names changing?

If while managing your chats you notice that a contact's name suddenly changes (for example, "Luz" changes to "Light" or "Margarita" to "Daisy"), this is not an error in the Atom database.

It is very likely that you have the Google Translator extension (or native automatic translation) turned on in your web browser. When active, the tool attempts to translate all visible text on the screen, including your customers' proper names.

⚙️ Step by step: How to fix it

To prevent your browser from visually modifying the information on your platform, follow these simple steps:

  1. Open your browser: Log in to the web browser you normally use to access Atom (such as Google Chrome).

  2. Locate the translator icon: Go to the address bar at the top (right where the Atom web link is written) and click on the Google Translation icon.

  3. Disable translation: A small menu will appear. Select the option that says "Never translate this site" (or "Don't translate anything on this site").

Done! 🧡 Once you've done this, we recommend refreshing the page. With this adjustment, the name differences should be completely resolved and you will see the information in its original state.

Keep your database intact! 🚀

Making sure your browser doesn't visually alter your information will allow you to call each customer by their real name, providing much closer treatment and avoiding operational confusion. ✅
