What are dynamic flows in Atom and how to use them step by step

What is a dynamic flow?

A dynamic flow is an automated flow in Atom that is triggered each time a contact enters a dynamic list, that is, when it meets specific conditions that are previously defined.

What is a dynamic flow for?

With this tool you can:

  • Automate reminders, follow-ups or personalized messages without manual intervention.

  • Carry out remarketing campaigns to leads that meet certain criteria.

  • Send automatic messages according to the stage of the business, without the need to manually trigger.

  • Trigger flows based on tags, contact fields, typifications or user behavior.

Recommended use scenarios

🎯Remarketing to cold leads

Ex: If a contact does not respond in 7 days, they enter a dynamic list and a flow is triggered with a special offer.

📅Automatic reminders

Ex: When the “Appointment date” field is tomorrow, a flow is activated reminding the appointment.

🔁After-sales follow-up

Ex: If a client was classified as “Service completed”, a thank you message or survey is sent.

🎓Nurturing or education

Ex: Depending on the stage of the deal, progressive educational content can be sent without making manual mass mailings.

🧼Cleaning and reactivation

Ex: If someone does not interact with the brand in 30 days, a flow is activated to reconnect them.

🧭 Step by step: how to create a dynamic flow in Atom

1. Create a dynamic list

From Campaigns > Lists > Create List and click on "Create dynamic list". Click on Continue.

Define the inclusion conditions (eg: tags, typifications, custom fields, etc.) and then click on Continue.

→ Atom will show you how many users meet those rules. Then click on Create.

2. Configure your dynamic flow

Enter the Flowbuilder, and then after the start link the component "Dynamic list".

There:

  • Choose the list that will act as a trigger.

  • The sending is done immediately once the client enters the dynamic list, unless a specific time is configured.

3. Finish designing the flow

Use the components you need (message, question, referral, HTTP, etc.) according to your case.

4. Publish the flow

Once the flow is published, it will be sent to all clients on the dynamic list.

🔁 Can it be edited?

No. Neither Dynamic Flows (published) nor Dynamic Lists can be edited. Once the dynamic flow is published, you will have two options: view the flow or Deactivate, so that it stops running. In addition, you can track the statistics from this module, where you can see its status, the number of flows started, failed and answered.

🧩 Best practices

  • Use clear names for lists and flows: helps keep order.

  • Define very specific entry criteria to avoid irrelevant contacts.

  • Combine this with automatic tagging or typing in your service flows.
