⏳ Wait Time Component (Temporary Pauses)
The Wait Time component allows you to apply a strategic pause between one action and another within your automated flow. This pause can be configured in Seconds, Minutes, or Hours.
💡 Usage Tip: Multimedia File Order It is essential to use this component when your bot sends multiple consecutive messages, especially if they include heavy multimedia files (such as images or videos). WhatsApp processes and delivers messages depending on their size. If you don't apply pauses, it's very likely that your messages will arrive out of order and the farewell text will appear before the catalog.
For images: We recommend configuring a pause of 2 to 3 seconds.
For videos: We recommend configuring a pause of 4 to 5 seconds.
📅 Time Window Mode (Business Hours Support)
If you need your customers to receive certain messages or be transferred to an agent exclusively during your business hours, this is the mode you should use. The Time Window allows you to define the exact days and hours when your flow is permitted to advance.
⚙️ How is it configured?
On your canvas, open the inspector panel of the Wait Time component.
In the "Wait Type" dropdown menu, select the Time Window option.
Choose the days of the week when your business is operational.
Define the start time and end time of your business day.
🚦 What happens with the customer?
Your bot's behavior will depend on the exact time the user writes:
🟢 If they arrive WITHIN the configured hours: The flow does not stop and advances immediately to the next step (for example, transferring the chat to the advisors group).
🔴 If they arrive OUTSIDE the configured hours: The flow puts the conversation on a silent "pause". The system will retain the contact at that node and automatically wait until the next business period starts to continue the conversation and advance to the next step.
⚠️ Important rules to consider about time zone: For the Time Window to work correctly and prevent time mismatches, the system uses the main time zone of your Atom account. If you serve international customers, keep in mind that the validated time is your company's time zone. You can verify this configuration by going to My Company > Settings.
Synchronize your bot with your operation! 🚀
Whether by applying pauses of seconds to ensure your catalogs arrive in perfect order, or by configuring time windows to prevent customers from waiting for an agent in the middle of the night, time control is vital for a smooth experience. Adjust your clocks and optimize your flows! ✅
