🎯 What is this setting for?
Keeping your WhatsApp profile updated is essential to build trust with your customers. From Meta Business Suite, you can easily modify the public details of your line, such as your logo, company description, address, and website.
📋 Before you start (Checklist)
Make sure you have the following before starting the process:
Access to the main page of Meta Business Suite (
business.facebook.com).Administrator permissions within your company's business portfolio.
⚙️ Step by Step to update your profile
Meta offers two different ways to reach your profile editing screen. You can use whichever is most convenient for you:
Route 1: From Account Settings (Fast)
Go to the main page of Meta Business Suite.
Expand your portfolio menu and click on the gear icon to access Business Settings.
In the left sidebar menu, expand the Accounts section and click on WhatsApp Accounts.
Find and select the business account where your phone number is located.
In the center panel, go to the Phone Numbers tab.
Click directly on your phone number.
A side window called Phone Profile will open, where you can upload a new profile photo, edit your visible name, username, and company information.
Route 2: From WhatsApp Manager (Detailed)
Follow the same initial steps: Go to Meta Business Suite > Business Settings > Accounts > WhatsApp Accounts.
Select your business account.
Go to the Overview tab and click the button at the bottom that says WhatsApp Manager.
You will be redirected to a new screen. In the left sidebar menu of this manager, click on Phone Numbers.
Click on the phone number you want to modify.
In the top menu of the line, select the Profile tab. From here you can edit all the public information that your customers will see.
⚠️ Important: Validation process for display name
If you decide to modify your Display Name, keep in mind that the change is not immediate and requires a two-step validation process to be reflected correctly to your customers:
Direct approval from Meta: When you request the change from your portfolio, the name will enter review. You must wait for Meta to complete its evaluation and the status to officially change to "Approved" in your WhatsApp Manager.
Technical synchronization in Atom: Once Meta has approved the name, contact our Support team. At that time, we will execute a technical process through the API to synchronize and enable your new identity on the platform.
Note: Our Support team will not be able to execute the API synchronization if the name is still "Under Review" or "Pending" by Meta.
