Prerequisites in Business Manager before connecting the channel

Before setting up your Facebook or Instagram channel in Atom, validate the following points in your Business Manager (BM). This will avoid errors or interruptions in the connection.

✅ Validate user permissions

  • The user making the connection must have Full control over the page in the BM.

  • In the Business Settings → People section, make sure the user has Applications and integrations permissions enabled.

  • For Instagram connection, confirm that the account is associated with a Facebook page within the BM.

✅ Review connected assets

  • In the Connected Assets section, validate that the page or Instagram account appears correctly linked.

  • The user must have full permissions over that asset in order to complete the connection.

✅ Verify the Atom application

  • Check that the Atom application is installed in the BM and has not been deleted or blocked.

✅ Review Meta restrictions

  • Go to the Help Home for Businesses section within the BM.

  • Verify that neither the Business Manager nor the related pages have active restrictions by Meta.

  • If any warnings appear, you must resolve them before attempting to connect the channel.

If the connection still fails after validating these points, log out of Facebook, clear your browser's cache, and try again.
