Security Settings: Protect Your Account Effectively

Token-based authentication is the process of verifying identity by checking a token. A token is a symbolic element issued by a trusted source.

To use our APIs or send flows through webhooks, you need an API Token, which you can generate as follows:

  • Select the module ofSettings > My Company > Settings

  • Go to the Security Settings section.

  • In the API Token field, you can copy the existing one or generate a new one by clicking the Generate new Token button.

  • By default, the API Token appears masked. To view it, click the button with the eye icon. If you want to copy the token to use in a connection with an Atom API or Webhook, click the Copy button.

Keep in mind that the token is used in all connections you have linked to Atom APIs and Webhooks. If you generate a new API Token, please change it in all the Atom API and Webhook configurations you are using.

  • To save the changes, click on Save.

Access filter by public IP address

Atom allows you to filter access to its platform by configuring one or more public IP addresses, so you can control from which location it can be accessed. To do this, we provide you with the following steps:

  • Select the module ofSettings > My Company > Settings

  • Go to the Security Settings section.

  • In the Allowed IP Addresses field, enter the public IP addresses that you want to have exclusive access to Atom.

If you need to enter more than one IP address, you can do so by pressing enter between each one. Remember that the format of the allowed IP addresses is IPv4: X.X.X.X, where theXis called anoctetand must be a decimal value between 0 and 255. The octets are separated by periods. An IPv4 address must contain three periods and four octets.
